CTET December 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Primary Level (Classes I to V):
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE Regulations, 2002, OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
Junior Level (Classes VI to VIII):
- Graduation and passed or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed in accordance with NCTE regulations, OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed, OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed (Special Education).
Candidates who have qualified B.Ed. recognized by NCTE or are pursuing a teacher education course recognized by NCTE/RCI can also apply for the CTET.
